Hello, my name is Tom and I am an independent celebrant based in Sheffield, England.
I am always so honoured to be trusted with the responsibility of marking milestones in the lives of others, and I am committed to delivering thoughtful and personal ceremonies to mark your loved ones in life, love and death.
Tom the Celebrant
About Me
As a celebrant, it is my job to act as a mirror, reflecting the lived experiences of those who are being celebrated in a way that feels personal and fitting to them as individuals. I do this by really getting to know your story, your interests and your preferred style of celebration, and using these details to create a ceremony that will feel comfortable and relevant to you.
For several years, I was the pastor of a thriving inner-city church, dedicating myself to the spiritual and emotional needs of my community. During this time, I had the honour of officiating weddings, christenings, and memorials. These experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of the importance of marking life’s significant moments with care and compassion.
Although I no longer align with a religious faith, my experience has enriched my perspective ever since. As a gay man, I am keenly aware of the need for inclusivity in all ceremonies, and I am passionate about creating services that prioritise love, joy, and acceptance for everyone, whilst celebrating their background and identity.
My approach is personal and thoughtful, ensuring that each ceremony is a true reflection of the individuals involved and the unique bond that they share. I want you to feel as though you are being led through each milestone by a friend, with care and sensitivity throughout, and I will take the time to prioritise your needs at each step.
